New Cultural and Creative Strategy is launched

Bath Bridge was recently asked to facilitate the creation of a new Cultural and Creative Strategy for the Bath and North East Somerset area by the local authority.

Led by Bridge Director Katharine Reeve, the goal was to create an ambitious strategy, suitable for a world-class city, supported across the sector, sustainable and persuasive with funding organisations, and providing key priorities and an inspiring vision for the future.

strategyKatharine said: “We consulted widely with organisations across the city, looking at existing research and best practice in comparable areas while developing the new strategy. Culture and creativity are vital to the economic and business life of Bath and North East Somerset and are the life-blood of our community. This new strategy encourages an ambitious, imaginative and joined-up approach to cultural and creative activity with increased levels of collaborative working, participation and digital innovation.”
