Bath Bridge Launches “Future Talent Accelerator Challenge”

The Future Talent Accelerator Challenge is an exciting new competition aimed at social enterprises, startups, charities and community organisations in Bath that could benefit from a dedicated project to take aspects of their organisation to the next level.

The competition pairs Bath’s best and brightest young business minds with the local organisations to deliver transformative 6-month special projects.

Up to four local organisations will benefit from the time, energy and expertise of the “Future Talent” team: 12 outstanding young professionals selected for a yearlong leadership mentoring programme by Bath Bridge, an independent city-wide business advisory group.

Future Talent teams will deliver self-contained projects based on one or more specific deliverables, with the aim of creating a lasting change for the winning organisations. The Future Talent team has expertise in:

  • Relationship and partnership building
  • Operations management, systems and process
  • Business planning, strategy and development
  • Marketing, events, communications and branding
  • Income generation and fundraising strategy
  • Troubleshooting

The competition is open to any organisation in Bath that delivers a social, environmental or community benefit. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Social enterprises
  • Charities
  • Community Organisations
  • Community Interest Companies
  • Voluntary / Third Sector organisations
  • Socially-minded startups

All types of projects will be considered, but judges want to see that a time-bound project with specific objectives could make a big impact on the winning organisation, while making the most of the Future Talent team’s skills and experience.

The competition is open for entries until September 30. Shortlisted organisations will be invited to present their project idea at an event in Bath on Wednesday 28 October. The winning projects will then run from November to April.
